Titel: Who will help me create a picture for a game?
Hi, I'm a german person, so my english might not be the best, so I excuse for any mistake I will made first and hope you can understand what exactly I want.
I whant to create a Game with the RPG-Maker VX Ace. There is a community, where I already postet a request for a specialized Picture for my game. Here is a Link to it: http://www.multimediaxis.de/threads/...17#post3270717
Because it's in german I try to translate it here. If you find an Mistake or something that isn't translate very well, please correct it or write me an Message, so that I can correct it:
"I'm actually working on my first project and step by step the story takes shape (and I like the story very much until now
). Maybe I will present a concept soon, when it's mellower.
Now I have no experience with designing pictures on the computer. So far I only draw with a real pencil on a real paper. Although I have a tablet with a digitizer, but I find out, that it's not the same^^
then my question, is their anyone who can help me doing the graphics I need?
At the moment I need a Picture of a world in space. I made an concept-graphic which shows, what I have in mind (please look at the Pictures in the Link on top. I can't find out how to add pictures to this Thread).
- The radius of the upper part ist noticeable bigger than the lower part, but not exaggerated.
- The brown ring is a continuous Mountain range once around the whole world.
- The Mountains are very high an clearly standing out of the surface of the planet.
- The green part is normal landmass with woods, hills, also few deserts (dry areas), but rather it's green.
- The blue is water.
- The line between green and blue is no straight line, there are also tongues an peninsulas (like a normal coast).
- Somewhere in the water is an island. Precisely one, more mustn't be there, also not near the green landscape.
- The Island is smaller than the yellow circle on top of the planet, about quarter till half of it's size and lightly oblong orientet to the Mountain chain.
- The yellow circle is a pretty accurate round continent. their can be smaller unevennesses on the border, but on the whole it is a circle. The surface forms a light bulge out of the planet. It should be like their is an smaller ball in the planet and only a bit of it looks out.
- Exact in the middle of the continent is a small inactive volcano. It should be easily identifiable, but far as high as the Mountain range.
- The rest of the yellow surface is mainly desert with sporadic oasis. Directly at the mountain should be a small green area apparent.
- The lower part of the planet is waste and dried-out. Here is no water, no cloud or anything green allowed. here and there can be somethin red-glowing like lava streams, but it mustn't. This area should be more in dark and bleak colours.
- The lower half has an bigger part of the planets surface than the upper half, therefor the mountains do not divide the planet exactly in two evenly parts. Please look at the second picture in the Link above, it shows better what I mean (the enlargement on the right side shows once again that the radius of the lower part a little bit smaller is. If possible it would be great when it would be recognizeable on the picture; the diference can also be a bit stronger than in my sketch).
There are indeed many details, but it should fit to the Story
It would be great if someone could draw such a drawing for me. Of course their will be an entry in the game credits for the artist.
I also could suggest a partnership for more drawings, because then it's the same style in all pictures, which always is better.
//EDIT
A small suplement: The equator is approximately above the desert Continent on top of the planet. That means the land-ring around the planet containes every type of climate zone twice (nort and south pole are by the mountains, so there should be two areas with snow on opposite sides). It would be wonderful, if you could see this on the picture as well. I thought there should be an snow area in the upper left part, where the mountain chain vanish backwards. But this is completely up to the artist
The background of the planet is of course space. A black surface with maybe some stars.
nearly forgotten: The hight of the mountains is between 1.000 kilometers (the deepest place at all; there are no valleys or other passages) and 1.200 kilometers. The diameter of the planet is abot 12.000 kilometers (lower half) respectively 13.000 kilometers (upper part). This is ony as an orientation, the picture mustn't be true to scale. That the individual elements are clearly recognizable are more important to me. But I don't complain if you can put a ruler on it and everything is suitable
"
This is more or less my request translated. I make it, because it's fun to make something special for everyone. And who knows? Maybe we can make the game together. I work on the story and you (whoever will help me) will make the graphics to create an unique and astonishing Game together (and if it will be good enough maybe we can also sell it on steam or wherever
)
