Sony Corrects Themselves, Says The Last Guardian Is Not on 'Hiatus'

Our 90-minute national nightmare is over. Sony's PlayStation boss Jack Tretton may have said that the long-awaited The Last Guardian was on hiatus today, but Sony's head of worldwide studios, Shuhei Yoshida, says that's wrong.

"That hiatus term—I’m not a native English-speaking person—but that’s misleading," Yoshida told me a few minutes ago during an interview here at E3. He'd watched Tretton's comments on Spike.com while eating lunch. "The game is in active development. [Lead designer Fumito] Ueda-san shared updates a few months ago. Nothing has changed. My answer is, 'Yes, the game is in active development.' It’s not hiatus at all. But we are not ready to reintroduce it. When we are ready, we will do that. Please wait."

Das und Murdered sahen aber schon richtig gut aus. Genau so wie "Mighty quest for epic loot" und ziemlich sicher "The Division". Evtl. muss da sogar eine der neuen Konsolen her. Ohje, mein Geldbeutel~

Nintendo Considered Showing New Zelda Wii U Game At E3

According to series creator Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo's new Zelda game for the Wii U is coming along nicely -- and was nearly shown at this year's E3.

We just spoke with Mr. Miyamoto about many of Nintendo's upcoming games, including Pikmin 3 and Super Mario 3D World, but when when we asked about a new original Zelda game for Wii U (which has been rumored to be out in 2014) he said that the game is farther along that many thought. Actually, the company had considered showing the game at this year's E3.

Miyamoto said, "We're also working on a new Wii U Zelda game. Work on that is progressing fairly concretely. In fact, we were thinking about showing it here at E3 but decided to wait just a little bit longer before sharing it with everyone."

Nun, ist ja nicht so als hätte es auf der E3 Direct zu wenig Spiele gegeben.

Die woll(t)en den Fokus wohl mehr auf Smash Bros. und Bayonetta 2 legen, schätze ich.
Aus meiner Sicht sind das die beiden Spiele, auf die die Leute derzeit am ehesten warten, bevor sie sich ne Wii U zulegen werden.
Hätten sie ein neues Wii U Zelda gezeigt, hätten SSB und Bayo2 ihm wohl den Wind aus den Segeln genommen, schätze ich.
In jedem Fall natürlich trotzdem schade, dass man es dann wohl nicht mal nachträglich zu zeigen scheint.
Aber die E3 geht ja noch n Weilchen.
