If you are unwilling to have anything to do with ruby, not even copy&paste scripts, then you won't be able to use some of the 2k features, such as Facesets.

You can save just as much time by using the 2k default systems and databases. Scripts are just an optional standart.
And if you create a full fleged custom made Battlesystem in 5 min I will agree.
