So, I just saw Captain America. The first half, up until all those soldiers were rescued, was actually the best in the MCU so far and really good. The second one, again, only felt "good" at best but returned to mediocracy for the most part. I am not even sure what it is with these movies, I do enjoy them but I am also happy they are over after those 2 hours. Overall the movie wasn't as good as Thor, the humor didn't really click with a few exceptions and for only wanting to protect and not kill people, Captain America had a really high kill count in here. Also, a friend mentioned a few days ago that he thinks Captain America is the most interesting character out of the Avengers because he is "only a peak human". From what I have seen in this movie, I have to totally disagree, I find him really dull. He feels like a weak version of Hercules and as far as his superhuman actions goes, he is nothing like a "peak human" and definitly more. Maybe he gets better later on, but so far he is rather "meh".
As for the ending with Red Skull, that just had to be one of the Asgardian teleporters, so I am sure he will return at some point.
