Font help! / Font patch + power mode?

Hi, English speaker AznChipmunk here. Some of you may have seen my project, Chromatose, floating around. This is it:

Anyways if you look at those screens, they all use the same font. We want to use that font for the in-game message box. However... the spacing doesn't quite work.

We are using the RM2k font changer, and the preview it gives us.

This is very unlucky as it ALMOST works. Just a few glyphs need to be shifted over one pixel.

Here is the link to the dA page of the font.
    http://dtw42.deviantart.com/art/Haec...-font-78727302

What needs to be changed is:
The uppercase I, lowercase l, lowercase j, lowercase x, the number 5, and the exclamation point ! all need to shift over one pixel to the right.
The lowercase i needs to shift to the right by two pixels.

Someone please help if you have any experience creating custom fonts. You will be credited and I will be really thankful. (I have spent a long time on trying to figure this out.) If you are able to do it, please rename the font HaeccityC. Thanks in advance. Although, if someone could create a guideline for drawing custom fonts and adding them to RM, that would be great!

Secondly, I was trying to combine RM's powermode with the font patch. However, Cherry's fontpatcher doesn't seem compatible with the hacked RPG_RT.exe from power mode. All I want from power mode though, is the custom title screen option. Any workarounds or patches for this?

I don't think this is going to work out like you want.

As far as I know the RPG Maker uses fixed width for displaying its font. I don't think it would be easy or even possible to fix this, since it would probably involve digging around in the EXE file of the RPG Maker itself.

EDIT: Nevermind, I read that whole thing wrong.

*Here* is a patch that allows you to create your custom title, but does only work with rm2k3 1.08.

I've changed the font, but I'm not sure if it still works fine with the maker.

    you can download it there:

    Awesome, this works great!
Thanks for trying Krugelix. However, the end result was not so good.

I want to ask someone who may have had some experience editing and drawing custom fonts before, because I know the issue here was not your fault. Some of the letters resized themselves in an odd manner. I actually edited the original Haeccity DW font with the fixes I requested and got the same result.

Does anyone have experience with drawing their own custom fonts for RM?

Using True Type Fonts isn't really the best idea. There will always be people who have
anti-aliasing turned on, which will make the letters grow fat (yeah, fat in the meaning of
really obese xD) and turn almost unreadable. Use pixel fonts instead, as they will always
look the way you want them to look (*.fon). ^^

PS: Google for "Fony". It's a free pixel font editor I made my game font with.

    Thanks! That worked for me.
