Mm, here's my interpretation:
When you look into a mirror, you see yourself. But the mirror lied, so you actually aren't there and you don't actually exist. Mainly just pointing out that the game's "meanings" aren't literal, but metaphorical - and Leah may not be actually a physical person, but rather a metaphor for something just as Birdie is as well.
