    Hi

I organize a project you might wanna join.
We are currently 2 writers (quests and mainplot), one musician and one mapper. I do all the coding.
I can do sprites to some extend, too.

To all GOOD mappers: You would be the lead mapper. You decide on which graphics we are using (I would like to have the Mack tiles though). I would tell you what has to be done and you get it done. I guess you might wanna have one or two more mappers than you but thats ur decision. You are in total control of the mapping department. In case i have allready found a lead mapper you might be a "normal" mapper if our lead mapper approves.

To all musicians: We allready have one musician but he is not really reliable. Its important to me that you are available and visit the forum every now and then. Please send me a track of yours if you are interrested.

In order to make a decision I give u a few things that show our skill. then its up to you to decide wether to join or not

    1. a song our musician created: http://rapidshare.com/files/136584863/Intro_01.mp3
    2. 2 sprite edits i did: http://rapidshare.com/files/136588254/fluegelfrau.rar (talk to the woman twice)
    3. a minigame i coded http://rapidshare.com/files/13587855...o_ohne_RTP.rar
    4. a quest:

"it's about a human cult that worships the old ones as the hand of God and seek to aid them by kidnapping, threatening and murdering the families of military officers.

Their first appearance is very subtle, when you first enter town there will be an abandoned house with the mark of the cult on the door.
Obviously this family was murdered, but the game won't give you anything specific about what transpired.
The cult is hiding in a larger abandoned house somewhere within a mutated forest, however on first notice it's just a ruin with a few chests inside. If you walk around however you will notice that a certain square of wood is hollow, if you press your action button there you can commence the quest that instant, however this will be quite dangerous for your estimated level.

If you however fail to notice this, or simple never visit the shack then after a few missions you'll notice another house within the city has gotten the mark. If you go inside you will see that the family that lived there has disappeared, instead a soldier stands in the center of the room.
If you speak to him he will tell you of the cult and the reward on their heads (doesn't have to be taken literally), of course he has no information on their whereabouts. Now the quest will be activated in your menu.
If you keep minding your own business or fail to located the secret hatch another house will be raided, in there you will find a distressed
father, if you speak to him he will let you know of rumors about a house in forest X.
The fourth house will yield no further clues.
Continue ignoring the problem and the cult will permanently leave the house and never return, if you find the secret basement later your quest will simply fail.

The Basement: Now this is the actual level where the quest will take place. When you first come through the hatch you end up in a cave-like tunnel with a (wooden) toilet, continue down the tunnel and an event will take place with a guard coming out of the toilet and in wild surprise attacking the adventurers.
After killing the guard you can continue and you'll end up in a more man room.
To your front in the main hall, there is a very large amount of cultists listening to their leader's ceremony, a girl will be tied up next to him (Now this girl depends on your progress in the game, there's a total of 4 girls, which don't need to differ in anything but color of clothes or hair, all the last 3 girls will give you the same reward for saving them, the first one will you give you something superior)

Now you have to make a choice about what to do (this is not a choice moment)
You can rush forward into the main hall, all the cultists's backs are turned except for their leader, you can attack the first cultist avatar and get a preemptive bonus, you can try to sneak to the door to your left(which is inside the hall) but the leader will spot you.
In both those options the cultists will rush on you giving you a very hectic series of battle which is near impossible for lower levels, you do however get the option to continue or escape after every battle.
You can also choose to continue through the hallway on your right, you'll wind up in some simple hallways surrounding the hall, some chests and more relevant... a dresser.
This dresser is located close to the right entrance of the hall, this one is still guarded but it bypasses the cultist mass straight to the victim.
However, even when dressed the guard will demand to see your faces and you will be rushed.( Mind you, if you manage to defeat them all and their leader you'll succeed in this quest just as well)

The correct option is going back through the hallway to the first entrance and sneaking past towards the left door, the leader,(standing all the way to the back) won't notice you.

This tunnel Is patrolled by guards, and they will rush towards you, regardless of disguise, though the disguise will at least give something to say. You can try and sneak past them or go for preemptive attacks.
At the end you will find a brewery, (I was going for wine, but it made less sense) action button this kettle and you can drop poison into it(which you can buy at any item shop for imbuing your weapons) leave the hall and you will a get choking/gurgling SFX and the girl will escape, thank you and give you a reward, she will also tell you that the poison doesn't seem to work as well on the leader as on his weaker cultists.
Return to the hall to trigger a boss battle.
Defeat the leader and claim some proof and equipment

Return to the city, if you ask any solider they will point you to where you can claim your reward (some officer you know walking around the town)
    Tadaa, finished, claim your reward"

The old ones are a story element BTW

    5. A part of the world`s background story:

    History of the world:
The creation of the world has been disputed for many years. Two schools of Origin, the Eltra and the Tiren, conflict endlessly over this. Though they agree that the world was created by a god, the Eltra believe the god Elstaphon, master of fire, created the world, while the Tiren believe the god Tiraketen. master of earth, created the world. This break in understanding was the corner stone of the conflicts that shaped the world.
The first humans were a greater form of the lesser monkeys. They were amazed by the world around them. Where the other animals saw the world as a place to live, sleep, and die, the humans saw a world of untapped possibilities....
They learned through trial and error. Burning themselves with fire, accidentally cutting themselves with the the blades they fashioned. They grew more intelligent, and began to create various dialects, at first one universal form of speech, but as time swept along, the various tribes all fashioned their own as the grew farther apart. The first villages were made from straw and stone, not strong enough to withstand storms, but a place they could call home. The tribes became nations, the most powerful of these being Dominia and Helgadia. Wars were fought, most out of ignorance, some out of jealously. Those who tired of fighting retreated to the great forests of Firion.
Men began to wonder, and questioned their existence. Were the humans just another set of animals, roaming the world, or were they a bit more...this thought is what brought upon the age of philosophy.
The frequency of war dwindled. Humans began to study the world and it's tendencies, recording what they found. They formed theories on life and thought, some asinine, some becoming widely regarded for centuries. The center of intellect was ironically in the nation of Dominia, once the biggest agitator of war. The wonders of Magic was founded during this time, a power derived from rocks called runes. Many Philosophers were stumped by the source of the power, but others proclaimed it was heaven sent, birthing the institution of Religion. The gods were named, earth magic derived from Tiraketen, fire from Elstaphon, water from Mistrice, and wind from Geltz. Religion brought upon conflicts between Philosophers, those who believed and those who were skeptical.
It was in this period that the two schools of Origin were founded.
The Eltra was founded by a man named Timothy Godsin. An elderly scholar universally ridiculed for his half baked observations on human behavior, wrote a ten page essay on the creation of the world, professing the world was created by Elstaphon. While many philosophers decried this statement, Godsin suddenly became a heralded Saint by many commoners whose belief in the gods held their last shreds of hope. They began to follow him in the streets, calling him "The Enlightened" and giving him items as offerings. He had also gained the favor of Yozef, the head official of Dominia. His ideas were soon challenged, however, by a young woman simply named Kilim, who skilled in the art of earth magic.
She claimed that the world was created by Tiraketen, because a great deal of the world was indeed earth. She too had a large following, though not as large as Godsin's. He did not have an argument against her. Instead, he called her a heretic and a blasphemer. Though he had no right to brand her as such, since his own theory was not accepted at large. She challenged him debates, but he artfully dodged her challenges, saying "I am too Enlightened to stoop down to your peasant level." Infuriated by his disrespect and arrogance, Kilim and her followers protested Godsin's gatherings.
Godsin was tired of Kilim and her pestering. He convinced Yozef that if he made him the grand minister of Dominia, Elstaphon would bless him. This was the first of many instances where a god's "blessing" was used to gain power. Now that Eltra was the official religion of Dominia, Godsin outlawed Kilim's teachings and executed anyone who spoke out against Eltra. This very law flew in the face of all things that were established during the Age of Philosophy, such as freedom of speech and religion. Yozef was content with allowing Godsin to ruin the nation, so long as he got his blessing. The Age of Philosophy gave way to the Age of Fanaticism.
Kilim retreated to the forests of Firion, along with her most trusted assistant, Jumpai, a former Knight in training. There in the forests, they communed with the Silskin, the people native to the forests. It was here that Kilim solidified and consolidated her teachings into the school of Tiren.
The Silskin were a peaceful race, not especially skilled in battle but very in tune with nature, and also harvest runes that formed in the caves. They believed that all gods contributed to the creation of the world. No one could ignore the waters of the ocean, or the winds that blew in all direction. Kilim absorbed this teaching into Tiren, modifying it. She also began to master more forms of magic, a feat thought to be impossible. She taught her abilities to the Silskin, who naturally adapted to the usage of magic. Jumpai taught the brawnier Silskin the art of swordfighting.
For the next decade, They lived without interference. Then the Knight Fridiere, of Helgadia, came to Firion on a mission, flanked by a few men and a wagon. Seeking runestones for his king, Besleged, he sought out Kilim, who he recognized as the Silskin leader. She at first, rejected his desire. Then, after some thought, she offered him to take up the teachings of Tiren for month, in return for as many runestones as he required. Fearing to return empty handed, Fridiere agreed.
He first regarded it as foolish ramblings, but soon began to truly believe what Kilim had taught him, so much he stayed for an additional month. He loaded his wagon up, and told Kilim that he would tell Besleged about Tiren.
As this was happening, Dominia was growing in power, and was beginning to absorb surrounding nations into it. Professing it was on a mission guided by Elstaphon's hand, they expanded aggressively. Many of the citizens were turned off by the nation's actions, but Godsin executed all protesters with no hesitation. Yozef had become completely deaf to his people's cries, only hearing Godsin's promises of eternal life and greatness. Helgadia, though located to the far north and not a target of a Dominia, did not like the tales it heard. Though the versions of the stories they heard were wildly distorted due to distance, Besleged was infuriated at the actions of Yozef. Besleged stuck to the belief that a leader's greatness was ingrained in his people's faith in him. There was not much he could do, however.
When Fridiere returned to Helgadia, he told Besleged about the teachings of Kilim. Where Fridiere saw enlightenment, Besleged saw a reason for war.
Knowing that Godsin outlawed all other religions from Dominia, Besleged sent a soldier marauding as a missionary to Dominia. As expected, he was executed by Godsin's order. As a show of fear, his head was sent back to Besleged in a box.
He smiled when he received it. The first cog had been turned, powering the machine of war. The Age of Fanaticism had given way to the Age of Destruction.
Fridiere knew that Tiren had been used as a tool to start a conflict, but his loyalty was to Helgadia. He had no choice but to suit up. Alongside the other Knights, Godfried, Jestem, Helix, Gostov, and Veren, they lead an army to Dominia, under the illusion that Dominia did not have a large army. Soon, they would be proven ignorant.
The trek was long and drawn out, but when they arrived at the outskirts of Dominia, they were greeted by a large group of trainees, not expecting a real fight. Seizing the opportunity, the Helgadia army attacked, ripping through the trainees with ease.
The trainees were used as fodder to hold off Helgadia until the real army arrived.
The Dominia army was twice the size of Helgadia. Godsin had urged Yozef to build a mighty army to keep the "heathens" from crushing Dominia. IN reality, the army was needed to force the teachings of Eltra down the throat of the world.
Fridiere realized that they had no chance of survival. He urged his men to fall back, but they were too stubborn.
The battle was fierce, the clanging of steel sounding loudly. Helgadia showed it's strength, killing many Dominian soldiers, but the numbers were too great.
The Knights had all fallen, the exception being Fridiere. He and a few wounded men stood back as they were surrounded by the remaining Dominian soldiers. Their chances looked grim. Then they saw a flash, the power of magic emanating from nearby forces. Kilim and a few Silskin had come to help the Helgadian forces. They had enough power to drive the depleted Dominian forces back. Fridiere amd his men went with Kilim to Firion.
It had been revealed that the Silskin had been planning an attack on Dominia. They had grown too large and too dangerous.

Hezlem was born to a moderately wealthy family in the country of Dominia. From early childhood he was raised to be a gentlemen. At the age of eleven, he was sent to a boarding school to instill a formal spirit in him. But Hezlem was a born troublemaker. He was much tough then the other boys, and used his might and natural charisma to start a gang that terrorized the school, forcing others to give up their possessions and money. Hezlem was kicked out of school along with the other members of his game for their rogue behavior.
When he got home, his father, furious at him, began to beat him severly with a stick. Hezlem, still filled with the fervor of a leader, retaliated, attacking him with his bare fists. He overpowered his father, took the stick, and struck him in the head, killing him instantly. The act of Patricide never affected Hezlem. To the present day he affirms his father, "Got what he was asking for."
When his mother saw what happened, she immediately made plans to move Hezlem out the city, to Golthria, a small slum village outside of the city. He would live with his uncle.
It was here he began to learn the tools of his trade. Stealth, pocket picking, the things necessary to be a good thief. Despite his uncle's feeble attempts to steer him away from the streets, he found solace there, surrounded by people who would lay their lives down for him. For the next nine years, he would rob anyone who had money, from the poorest bum to the richest royal. With no fear, he took until the authorities came to his door. When the heat was applied, Hezlem fled the city, taking with him three of his most trusted thieves, Calwort, Kev, and Forthworth. They moved from shanty town to shanty town, increasing their fotune with other people's coin.
There is a million dollar bounty on Hezlem's head.

I hope you can make a decision now.

    Ein paar Vorschläge meinerseits:
    Anyway, good luck!

Mh ok also was jetzt?
