if you want to rip things from FF6 or Chrono Trigger (or ohter SNES Games), you shoud use ZSNES (SNES Emulator)... With the Keys 1 to 5 you can show and hide the layers ;)

You can change this at "map properties". there is a field, called "Parallax". You have to tick the checkbox and then you can choose your background. (important: you have it to import as parallax background!)

exactly as i did "then i maybe wasent so stupid" :P anyway. i did that and chosse my inportet backround but it wont show up at all on the map :/
Activate the Import Panel by clicking its icon (that's the little square with the two arrows on the command bar left of the note) or going to Tool > RAW Material Editor and import it as "Panorama". Then you can choose it as a parallax background in the map properties.
Background is the background for battle screens. You can't use it on normal maps then.
Btw, you should post technical questions in the "Technik Forum" (that's German for a forum where technical (Technik) questions belong). It's right below the Community Forum in the overview.

it wont be shown on the map if the panorama hasn´t got the same size like the map (in pixels). But you'll see it if you start the game!
Have you chosen an transparent chip in the lower layer? In the upper layer, all the things you can't see in the game have a special color. On that parts of the map where you want to see the panorama, you'll have to set a chip of that color in the lower layer, too.

You need this tile http://nrg.to/hyperrpg/pano.PNG and then you have to put it all over the map. If you do this correct, your picture should be to see. (Of course the mapsize has to be the size of your picture / 16. For example your picture is 320*240 px, then your map size has to be 20*15, in order to get it working!)
edit: your picturesize should be a factor of 16, otherwise it won´t be shown in the RPG-Maker (but of course in the game. press F9 and convince yourself).

I guess you are referring to the picture you posted above, which has almost exactly the double resolution compared to the original one. If you shot it in Full Screen Mode, the reason is that the picture was enlarged to fit the whole screen. Of course, this can lead to somehow crappy graphics.Zitat:

One of those selection is "Save Snapshot" or something like that. Highlight it and press Enter.
The picture will be saved in the directory where the game-file is and the name is a mixture of the game's name and the date and time when you took the picture.
The only thing is, that the resoultion might be under 320*240, because SNES-games are shown in a resolution of 256*224 though.
The best way to fit it in 320*240 is to stretch it in Microsoft Paint, Jasc Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop (or any other graphics program ;) )
And don't forget to save it in 256 Colors!
