Zitat
It's considered a spin-off sequel because it was initially planned as a gaiden title, later got more budget, and was upgraded somewhat in terms of its status. Still, the story remains side-storyish, so that's what it feels like. It's not that that's necessarily a bad thing, though. As far as the Tales spin-offs go, this is definitely the best in terms of production and scope. Even so, there're only two new main characters (the old cast does eventually all join you), so it's more in the vein of Narikiri Dungeon where Mel and Dio were the only new playable characters. Again, this isn't bad, but if people are expecting an amazing stand-alone game, this isn't it. This one relies a lot on the characters from the previous game and counts on you having fun with all the cameos.
