Thema: Oblivion is driving me insane [Blood and Mud + Real Lights + FCOM]

Oblivion is driving me insane [Blood and Mud + Real Lights + FCOM]

Okay, this will be a very confusing post, because I'm not quite sure what just happened.

First of all my load order looked like this:
    - Blood and Mud
    - FCOM
    - Real Lights

Today I looked at my load order, and saw that the load order for FCOM wasn't correct. So I fixed this mistake (Wrye Bash's bashed patch was loaded before some of the relevelers, and their load order was not entirely correct). All changes where in the FCOM block.

After that I couldn't load any saved games (even newly started ones). And exiting Oblivion right out of the menu resulted in "Oblivion has encountered an error". I tried many things with FCOM (new bashed patch and such things), without solving the problem. Even deactivating FCOM didn't fix the crashes.

I was at my wits end, and deactivated all plugins. The crashes went away. So I started activating them one by one.

Real lights was the one which "caused" them. I was confused, because I didn't change anything at all regarding Real Lights, and never had problems with it. So I played with load order. After about two hours of testing I discovered: If Blood and Mud is loaded before Real Lights, then the crashes appear. I even went back to 0.5.2., and found the same thing with the older version.

    So
    - Real Lights
    - Blood and Mud
worked. Totally irrelevant, where FCOM or all other plugins were located in the load order.

So I changed something in FCOM, and in the end I had to switch load priority between Blood & Mud and Real Lights to being able loading my saves and exit Oblivion properly.

Oblivion is driving me insane  . I'm not sure what has happened, only that Blood & Mud, FCOM and Real Lights played a part in it. So I thought I should post that here, just in case anyone else is running into the same kind of problem. Oh well, I should post that in the release threads of the other mods as well.

I don't know what just happened  .
