ich habe mich nochmal hingesetzt und ganze referat nochmal überarbeitet.
Und das ist dabei rausgekommen:
The Character description:
Maresciallo Salva Guarnaccia:
This is the mean character of the story. He lives with his wife and with his to sons in the Italy city Florence, he was born in Sicily.
He works as inspector for the police station at Palazzo Pitti. Actually he is a normal man who prevers listening in stood of talking. When he works on a case he usually realize on his instinct. He has already solved 13 murders.
Esposito:
He was born in Naples and came to Florence to start his training as a policeman. He used to have a relationship with the Japanese woman Akiko, Guarnaccia takes care of him like a father.
Akiko:
She used to be a young and ambitious woman, who had run away from her strict Japanese home. She came to Florence to started her training as a shoemaker. Her master Peruzzi gave her the freedom, she had always wanted. More over she was very talented. As Peruzzi was very old, he wanted Akiko to take over his shop.
Peruzzis son:
He works as a tax consultant for a bank in Florence. He manages the money from his father. Peruzzi is very proud of him, but he hates his father, he was very strict.
The Story:
During his patrol Guarnaccia gets called to Boboli Garden, where a corps was found. The face is not recognizable, because she is death for to long, she lays in a well. Next to her is a handbag with an ID Card, which is not hers, it confuses Guarnaccia. The owner from the ID- Card is still alive and called the police the anonymously. The clothes and a shoe of the victim finally give him a hint. It’s a shoe from Peruzzis shop. He tells him that the shoe belongs to his trainee Akiko. She used to have a boyfriend(Esposito) who she actually wanted to marry, she was also pregnant, but she was afraid of being dependent of him.
Suddenly Esposito disappears there for to comes suspicious. A few days later his corps is found in rome, he has committed suicide.
Everybody things he has killed Akiko, because there is a video tape that shows Akiko and him arguing, still Guarnaccia is convinced that Esposito is innocent.
Therefore Guarnaccia tries to find out, why Esposito killed himself. He visited a friend of Akiko who lives in Rome, he tells Guarnaccia that Akiko had told him, that she wanted to aboard her baby and she was afraid of marring Esposito. After Akikos death Esposito visited her friend in Rome, who told him about her fear of marring and her plans of the abortion.
After that, Esposito killed himself.
Finally he has proved Espositos innocent. He continues his research and finds out that Peruzzi is in depend. Guarnaccia visits his son, because he manages his money. Suddenly he admit that he has killed Akiko.
The reader doesn’t know why and how he has killed Akiko.
Why did I chose this book?
Because I had read a few good reviews on the internet, I also like detective novels, because they are exiting.
I alsothe story and a part of a few words I had to look up in the dictionary it was good to understand.
