Hello Pitter,
I am sending this email to you as you are a member of the Gaming Source forums and no doubt signed up to make use of the many modifications available at TESSource.net.
TESSource is run by an avid gamer, just like you. I enjoy making brilliant resources for everyone to use and openly share the resources I, and my company "Gaming Source", possess with the public. Unfortunately the more popular the site becomes the more expensive it is to maintain with server and bandwidth costs. For 5 years TESSource has been run out of my own pocket running up large server and bandwidth bills. Since Oblivion was released in March the site has used over 60 terrabytes of bandwidth (that's 60,000GB) and I've been happy to do that with what money I had; but now it's gotten so popular that I can't continue to run the site to an adequete standard without more money.
I was faced with three options on how I could proceed; the first option was to leave the system as it was with the same setup knowing full well that there were problems with the system that could only be remedied with more money, money that didn't exist. The second option was to ask for donations from willing volunteers to help pay towards new systems. The third option was to offer an incentive for donating to TESSource by providing something back to donaters. This is the option I chose. Many people have offered to donate to TESSource in the past and I have respectfully declined their help; I didn't want to receive money for a service I wasn't sure I could keep. Now I can.
By donating a small amount you help me to buy new servers and bandwidth that improve on the great service already provided. As a result Supporters (the name given to those who donate) are given an upgraded service complete with fast, unsaturated connections, no adverts, no caching and the ability to track updates to files uploaded to the site. This is my way of saying thank you for helping me, help you (cliché I know!).
A few people have already graciously shown their support by becoming Supporters and I am grateful to them, but the site needs more. If you use TESSource, or have used TESSource in the past and would like to show your appreciation then now is the time!
Payments are easy to make and are instant using PayPal (no PayPal account required). There is no subscription involved (which means that you don't get charged on a monthly basis or anything like that), you simply pay for a certain amount of time and if you want more you can top-up your account! It's all very simple.
If you are interested in supporting TESSource and the work I do (and the bonus features that come with supporting the site!) then please think about donating; your money will help to better the site and the services it provides to the Elder Scrolls community.
You can find more information on how to donate at the Source member portal at

Thank you for your time.
Best regards,
Robin Scott
