To use the chat you must registry for it. you can't use the data of your forum-account.

Well, basically, just do /msg nickserv register and it will tell you what to do.

Da im Atelier-Channel zurzeit +R aktiv ist, brauchst du einen registrierten Nick. Wenn du, wie du sagst, schon einen hast, dann musst du dich zunächst mit
/nick <name>
in den registrierten Nick umbenennen und dich anschließend identifyen. Das geht mit
/ns identify <name> <passwort>
