NEAL MORSE: The new Neal Morse album will be entitled Sola Scriptura and is to be released on February 26th through Inside Out.

News on this release is still somewhat scarce, but a Hungarian website revealed the tracklisting and artwork. The concept seems to deal with the reformation of the Christian belief, when Martin Luther split from the Catholic Church.
The (unconfirmed) tracklist is as follows:

War der Titel vor 'nem halben Jahr nicht noch irgendwas mit "Hawk"? Egal.
Ich find's immernoch sehr geil. Bin gespannt wie das neue Album klingt. Gut das es wohl nichtmehr allzu lange auf sich warten lassen wird...zumindest wenn TMV ihren Rythmus nun beibehalten.

SW is putting the finish touches on the album this week in Belgium for the album, set for release on April 24, according to a press release I just received via email. It also says that the lyrical content of the song cycle on the album is a "21st century cocktail of MTV, sex, prescription drugs, video games, the internet, terminal boredom, and subsequent escape. The title track, propelled by nervous, jittery energy, sums up many of the album's themes: 'Xbox is a go to me. Finger on the switch/my mother is a bitch/my father gave up ever trying to talk to me.' " ("The press release was from Shore Fire, the PR agency in the US that is handling both PT and Blackfield publicity. They're a pretty big PR firm with clients such as Norah Jones, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, etc., so that's good news for the band.")


The album title is obviously a riff on Public Enemy's "Fear of a Black Planet."

Aber der Titel gefällt mir irgendwie sehr. "Fear of a Blank Planet"...

The album features six (mostly lengthy) tracks, and is the band’s most ambitious and cohesive work to date. Much of it was debuted last year on tour to a rapturous response from fans.

The lyrical content of the song-cycle on the album is a 21st century cocktail of MTV, sex, prescription drugs, video games, the internet, terminal boredom, and subsequent escape.
