An sowas wird der IE nie rankommen und Firefox auch nicht, solange er nur eine I€ Kopie ohne Sicherheitsprobleme ist.

O_o Biddewas? Seit wann hat der IE einen derartig ausgefeilten Pluginsupport wie Fx? Seit wann ist der IE ein komplettes Anwendungsframework? Oder auch nur eine Renderengine, die PNG und CSS2 brauchbar unterstützt?
Fx (übrigens die Weiterentwicklung des Netscape Navigators) hat ein Interface, das dem IE auf den ersten Blick ähnlich sieht, aber das hat Opera auch.


BTW, was mich wirklich interresiert: Kann Opera SVG? Für Fx ist SVG-Support für eine der nächsten Versionen wieder geplant, nachdem er zwischendurch entfernt wurde. Und es wird verdammt noch mal Zeit, daß SVG sich verbreitet.

Opera is integrating the Ikivo SVG Player into their mobile browser solution. The Opera Mobile Browser, one of the most innovative and highly-regarded mobile browsers, thus gains the ability to display content featuring rich animations and interactive 2D graphics.

"We see SVG as the future of animation because it's scalable, open standard and appealing to more and more of the development community," says Timo Bruns, Opera's Vice President of Business Development for mobile. "Ikivo is a leader in the SVG industry and we are excited to enable each other's technology with this new addition to the Opera browser."

The Opera and Ikivo browser combination will be available within the first quarter of this year while further devices integration announcements will be made throughout the year.

Opera weiß also von den Vorteilen SVG's. Also ist es eine Frage der Zeit, wann sie es auch in den Desktopbrowser integrieren.
