Da ich das erst vor kurzem bei den GameFAQs-Boards gelesen habe:

And yeah, Shanti (or Shan-tih, or Shahn-ti-hi -- again it can be spelled a bunch of different ways), just literally means "Peace." But it's also usually the closing word of a mantra, often repeated up to three times -- so it also means "Amen", more or less.
