Ah, jetzt hab ichs, ne kurze Zusammenfassung: Credits gehen an ClaudeLV250 von GameFAQs:

SO2: BC takes place 2 years after SO2. Opera and Ernest (2 party members from SO2) are out raiding intergalactic tombs when their ship is pulled down onto the planet Ediphis and they are stranded there. They send out an SOS, Precis (another party member) gets it and rounds up the rest of the party (Except for Claude and Rena) and heads to Ediphis in her own space ship. They also get pulled down and stranded on the planet, hoping that Claude and Rena will come for them. Stuff happens and eventually the party finds Ernest and then Opera with a strange woman named Rival. She helps them, more stuff happens, Claude and Rena come to Ediphis (and also get pulled down and stranded). Rival actually turns out to be evil and turns on the party, they beat her up, but then it turns out shes not so evil after all and had her reasons for using the machine that pulled all the space ships onto Ediphis. It turns out the real evil threatening everything is the supercomputer Mother Ediphis. She catches a beat down, everyone is happy, the universe is safe again.

Kill all the characters off by jumping 400 years into the future and the stage is set for Star Ocean 3...
