Zitat
The race had hardly finished when I received an e-mail from vio81 in Germany strongly setting out his disgust with the quality of the telecast. He was dead right, wasn't he? One could be excused for thinking that the cameras had been covering a test day at Fiorano. All we saw for lap after lap was Schumacher's Ferrari and a dot that represented Montoya's BMW Williams in the background. Who can remember seeing Villeneuve's fine drive to sixth place, or Alonso's charge through the field from the back and then from an early pit stop to passing Heidfield for a point on the last lap? Or Webber in his Jag, or Frentzen retiring with two laps to go, or even Barrichello's Ferrari, not to mention the rest of the field? With so little coverage of all but the leading Ferrari, teams are going to find it harder and harder to pick up new sponsors.
I suppose a bouquet is justified for Alonso in getting his Renault up to eighth from the back of the grid. He too did the odd "Montoya" at the chicanes but it must have been a fairly fine drive. Pity we did not see much of it.
