The president sent an email saying that the game is now considered a live service and no longer in development, despite now very important bug fixes and art are now shuttered and locked away in an unfinished state.

I'll be looking for new work once I manage to pull myself out of bed.

Edit: About half of the team was gutted. If Msft is trying to spin that only non developer roles were affected, then that is false. Engineers, producers, artists and managers were affected.
