I'm afraid there is no "they" to fix it.
There is essentially nobody working on RM2k and RM2k3 except for me, and I'm not an employee and had a ton of other issues to take care of during the last year, unfortunately.
I have no idea what the Japanese developers changed on the RM2k fullscreen before (which was years ago, by the way) so that older versions work better (?) because I only have the source of the latest version of RM2k (and no source for RM2k3, hence all the hacks there). I added new ways to do the fullscreen in RM2k3 because I was there able to apply some more hacks on top of the existing hacks to make it work, but ironically this is *less* easy to do with RM2k because here I can't just hack it because it has to be kept compiled from the source (and in fact I have a harder time adding this in the source because I can't use my "dirty tricks" like in RM2k3).
If it were such an easy fix I would have given it to you a long time ago, believe me.
It is still something to be handled in some way or another, I am aware of that. Now that I have some more time again, I will see if I can find a solution for it somehow...
