Romancing SaGa 2 erscheint auf Vita + Smartphones

Sieht nach einem echt hübschen Port aus. Optisch nicht zu stark verfälscht und farblich / von der Auflösung aufgehübscht. Würde ich gern spielen (zumal das der einzige SaGa-Teil ohne (Fan-)Übersetzung ist), aber ich denke, die Chance, dass SE einen Port eines alten Spiels für Handhelds + Smartphones lokalisiert, ist seeehr gering.

Gefällt mir! Alleine schon das Generationensystem. Und die Grafik sieht wirklich sehr charmant aus, besonders die detaillierten Hintergründe im Zusammenspiel mit den Charakter Sprites macht schon sehr viel her. ^^

Wieso konnte so nicht FFV und FFV aussehen?
Sieht wirklich verdammt gut aus. 2D Sprites (wenn richtig gemacht) rulen einfach. Und so ein Spiel ist locker von 10 Leuten Entwickelbar. Gerne mehr davon SE (nur nicht auf Vita *lol*)!

Romancing SaGa 2 will launch for PS Vita, iOS, and Android in Japan on March 24 for 2,200 yen, Square Enix announced.

First released in 1993, the updated version of the game preserves the image of the original while updating the background and battle graphics. Controls have been updated for each platform, and the additional class, original dungeon, and such from the 2010-released mobile version is included.

Ich bin gespannt, ob es das Spiel jemals zu uns nach Europa schaffen wird. Mittlerweile weiss man ja, was Square Enix von der Vita im Westen hält, aber die Hoffnung stirbt ja bekanntlich zuletzt. Kaufen würde ich es mir allemal, zumindest für Vita.

In unseren? Sicher, schwer wohl kaum, aber ohne Lokalisierung sehr sinnfrei. o_o Zumal man sich ja im Zweifelsfall halt mit japanischem Konto einloggen kann. Oder meinst du den japanischen PSN? Wurde das denn ausgeschlossen? Würde mich wundern, wenn es dafür dann aber bei Google und Apple drin ist.

Während dem letzten Livestream zum Spiel wurden ein paar neue Informationen veröffentlicht.

Producer Masanori Ichikawa said during a Romancing SaGa 2 early-play livestream that the PlayStation Vita version won’t be compatible with the PlayStation TV.

Additionally, he was asked which one is better between the PS Vita and smartphone version, to which he responded by saying that the PS Vita has slightly lower specs, so the smartphone version has better response time with less slowdown from processing.


Here are some other notes from the livestream:

They did their best to make the smartphone version be as good as the Vita one [in terms of control and feeling] but in the end, they admit that having physical directional keys makes it easier for some parts.

A smartphone of iPhone 5’s specs or higher run the game with no problem. The game was made so that it can be played on lower-end smartphones.

The smartphone version won’t support game pads.

The Vita version will have an instruction manual, and trophy support.

Most of the staff prefer the Vita version.

They say to look at the pros and cons if you’re wondering about which version to get.

Ich hätte echt gern die Vita-Version. Aber die würden wir wohl selbst dann nicht kriegen, wenn Square Enix nicht dahintersitzen würde.

Und lol @ Slowdowns. Wenn die Vita-Version wirklich nennenswerte Slowdowns haben sollte, läuft da gewaltig was falsch.
