Leider nicht viel neues aber Nomura hat ein kleines Lebenszeichen von sich gegeben und wie befürchtet:

Speaking with the magazine, Nomura notes 2017 marks the 20-year anniversary of the original Final Fantasy VII so they’d like to plan something. First thing’s first though: we’ll have to wait until the crowded release period of games such as World of Final Fantasy and other projects calm down a bit before the information ban can be lifted.

Nomura did, however, have a few things to say about the game’s battle system – namely for those concerned about the evolution into a more action-oriented RPG. “The battle system in Final Fantasy VII Remake is also vastly different, so I think we need to communicate very clearly just how exactly battles will work. We’re currently in the middle of elevating various aspects up to finished quality.”

Continuing, he says he’s heard the fans calling out for an Active Time Battle system, but Final Fantasy VII Remake will be very rich in action. With that in mind, he says he’s making a battle system that even more traditional fans of the series can enjoy. So for those fans who dislike action, rest assured.

Wegen Spielreleases wie ,,World of Final Fantasy" und "anderen Projekten" (er meint wohl Final Fantasy XV^^) wird erst einmal nichts neues zu Final Fantasy VII-R enthüllt oder gezeigt.

ich vermute mal wir sehen daher nichts neues vor Frühjahr 2017.
Ob wir aufgrund des 20 jährigen Jubiläums 2017 schon den ersten Teil zu Final Fantasy VII Remake bekommen werden?

Die Aussage: ,,We’re currently in the middle of elevating various aspects up to finished quality" hört sich ja schonmal nicht so an als würde es mehrere Jahre noch für den ersten Teil in Anspruch nehmen.
Auch interessent: Sie haben zum 20. Jubiläum etwas besonderes geplant.

Ich zumindest könnte mir ein Release vom ersten Part schon wirklich gut vorstellen, immerhin hat man mit dem Argument FFVII-R in mehrere Parts aufzusplitten auch -unter anderem- damit begründet Final Fantasy VII schneller liefern zu können, als würde man es erst in einigen jahren releasen.
