Yusuke Naora, who worked as an art director for several Final Fantasy titles, has resigned from his position after 24 years.

In a series of tweets, Naroa explained: “On September 30, I resigned from Square Enix after working for them for 24 years. With my family in mind, I’ll be going back to my home town of Izumo. Yesterday, Taba-chan (Hajime Tabata) showed me the ending of Final Fantasy XV. It was my final job, and it has the best ending. Everyone has been amazing! We did a great job. I’m a little regretful that the release date was pushed back, but I’m happy to be given credit. After my resignation, I will continue doing illustrations, designs, and the like as jobs for Square Enix, and want to take on various challenges, so I appreciate your support. I’m grateful for all the experiences I was able to have with so many people.”
