The first eight titles in the long-running Dragon Quest series are coming to mobile devices throughout Japan, Square Enix Japan announcedon its official webpage as highlighted by a NeoGAF user.

The series began in 1986 with the release of studio Armor Project's role-playing arcade game, and has since expanded onto other platforms includin Wii and Nintendo DS. Most recently, Dragon Quest 10 was released in 2012.

We've contacted Square Enix regarding the possibility of a North American release for the new bundle.
