'Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge' for Wii U to get free downloadable content, new 'ninja skills'
The Wii U version of Ninja Gaiden 3 will be superior in some ways to its already released console predecessors, Team Ninja says, with the addition of new "Ninja Skills" and free downloadable content coming after release.
Ninja Skills will let players level up weapons and nin-po — Ryu's ninja magic — as well as add new moves, like the "Guillotine Throw" to Hayabusa's long list of attacks. The developer also officially confirmed that kunoichi Ayane will be playable in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, which is planned for release alongside the launch of the Wii U.
"Kunoichi Ayane, the image of her, this beautiful young woman fighting and getting bloody, it symbolizes the experience, the challenge you will feel in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge," Team Ninja said. "Team Ninja has poured all of its knowledge and skill into Razor's Edge."
Wii U owners will also get something extra with their version of Ninja Gaiden 3. "After launch we are preparing a long list of free downloadable content for Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge," Team Ninja said. "We can't give details this evening, but we can tell you that series fans are going to love it."
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is coming to Wii U in North America on November 18th, then on December 8th in Japan.
