Hello fellow RPG makers!
A member of the official forum's staff announced April 26th of this year that they were considering releasing an official english version of the cult-classic RPG Maker 2003! (link to the official thread) But they don't want to unless they have a garantee that a certain amount of people will buy it, that's why a poll has been added within the thread. However, a petition has been launched by a member of this forum. Hence this petition was not official in the first place, but his link has been added to the first post of the official thread. And recently, a member of the administration explained to me that their future choice would be heavily based on that petition:
The release of an official RPG Maker 2003 in english is therefore within reach! But at this very moment there is only 281 signatures. It must then be the whole international RM community who got to mobilize efforts! Here are three good reasons to wish for an official english version of RPG Maker 2003:Zitat
- In order to publish our games legally, be it free or commercial (selling games created on RPG Maker is authorized by Enterbrain).
- In order to have a clean software, without any bugs or translation mistakes.
- €16 only! ($20, price that was announced in the first post of the official thread) Almost nothing when compared to RMVX Ace costing 90$!
