So, es ist nach über einem Jahr wieder Zeit einen Blick auf die Entwicklung von the Hub zu werfen. In den letzten 13 Monaten gab es keinen einzigen, in dem die Zuschauerzahlen nicht gestiegen wären. Eine einzelne Serie ist freilich nicht genug, um einen ganzen Sender zu ziehen, man sollten den anderen Serien und Filmen auf dem Kanal nicht alle Lorbeeren nehmen, aber My little Pony: Friendship is Magic ist die Stärkste unter ihnen.

November 2010 hatte Friendship is Magic ca. 1,4 Millionen Zuschauer pro Monat, Mai 2011 (also mit der letzten Episode von Staffel 1) schon 4 Millionen pro Monat. Zwischen Staffel 1 und 2 hat sich diese Zahl verdoppelt und so begann die zweite Staffel mit 8 Millionen Zuschauern pro Monat. Zu Hearts and Hooves Day (Februar 2012) schalteten die zweitmeisten Leute bis dato in der Geschichte von the hub ein und A Canterlot Wedding fuhr für the hub (April 2012) die höchsten Ratings aller Zeiten (bis dahin) ein.

Natürlich kommen diese Zahlen noch nicht mal im Ansatz an das zehnmal so alte Cartoon Network, auf Platz 1 in der Zielgruppe von Jungen an.

Aber wir werden sehen, wie weit es the hub schafft. Es hat schon mal ganz gut Fuß zwischen den Giganten gefaßt und hält nicht nur mit My little Pony: Friendship is Magic die best bewertete Serie für junge Mädchen auf dem amerikanischen Mark, sondern auch andere stabile Hasbro-Franchises die sehr gut laufen.
