Ich bin mir nicht mehr vollkommen sicher, aber ich glaube, es war folgendermaßen: Von Wikipedia: When Van learns that Hod's destruction was in the Score, and that the prediction had been kept secret, he begins to hate the Score and decides that a world with the Score must be destroyed, especially since he learns that score ultimately predicts Auldrant's destruction. Van soon discovers that replicas are born outside the Score's control and decides to make a world created entirely from replicated people and landscape, at the sacrifice of the original world and population. Im dritten Teil des Spiels [Teil 1 → Akzeriuth; Teil 2 → Absorption Gate, Teil 3 → Ende) sieht man ja die ersten in großer Zahl von Van geschaffenen Replica, die alle die Abbilder von verstorbenen Personen sind. Van will eine Welt schaffen, die vom Score gelöst ist, und diese darf somit nur aus Replicas bestehen. Deshalb war es für ihn notwendig, die Originale der Menschen zu töten.
