At the start of development, what kind of game did you want Deadly Premonition to become? What changed as development went on?
"At the outset, we wanted this to be a strong mystery - something that focused on forensics, maybe a bit metropolitan in feeling. But after brainstorming with the producer, and reading up a lot on small-town America, it took the form of the game that you see today. Maybe what changed the most was the addition of shooting in the game."
