    Need a coder.

Sorry, I've been ditched by three people over the course of half a year. I really needed help with three things:

    • Fixing Battle Engine Melody's (RPGmaker VX) GUI
    • Fixing my custom menu system
    • This "mini-game" battle

All of the graphics are custom, so I guess I really wanted to not use the default look in Battle Engine Melody.

The menu system is mostly done ... but it is kind of broken, like the options don't align correctly, and there needs to be a class equipping system in it. :-S

I think the most involved are these "Conflict" mini-games, which sort of simulate old school battles where armies lined up. http://i.imgur.com/mI1hr.png There's a primitive explanation of it here. It's not been updated.

Basically you can place your party members and 15 generic characters in five rows of four. There is pre-battle fighting where each one has an action depending on your class. For example, a musketeer can fire in front of them, a "general class" has a "falconet" command that blasts the front row or second row of the enemy. The hit points used is the normal hit points. After the pre-battle fighting, you engage in a regular JRPG battle BASED ON who is in the front row. This is mimicking old school battles where people lined up in rows and fought each other. In the JRPG battle, there will be a clock that times "five turns" and the battle is interrupted and pre-battle fighting occurs once again. If anyone dies in the pre-battle, the person behind them moves up, if anyone dies in the normal battle, same situation. Victory outcomes are always "defeat all units" or "survive X pre-battle rounds."

    Here's more information on the game: http://thelonggoodbye.bitbonton.com/ / http://www.youtube.com/user/MigratoryEagle

    Thanks.

I could help you out, though i am not a professional i have earned quite some experience with RGSS over the past years. though i cannot tell you until you dont show me what you have so far.
i dont have enough time to build a complicated battle system from scratch.

you might send me the a detailed description of what you need and what you have so far, you can send me the code also if you dont mind, though i can only tell you whether i am going to help you or not after i got the information since i am busy working on several own projects right now.

if you would like to have a look at previous works of me so far you can send me a PM also and i might show you some systems i made in the past.
