Finally, someone translated the plot:
The villains are the Kira Hoshi Juujidan (Holy Order of the Glittering Stars). They're a masked group of villains who have unlocked one of the seals on the Southern Cross Island. To unlock the remaining seal, they attempt to capture the "shrine maiden" who they have identified as Agemaki Wako, the heroine. When they attempted to kidnap her, they were stopped by the Cybuddy Taubaan, driven by Tsunashi Takuto, who declares himself the Handsomest Boy in the Galaxy.
The island is where the characters live, and they attend a school there. Under the island are a bunch of ancient ruins where the Cybuddies (the mechs) are first discovered. About 20 of them were unearthed from the ruins, with the main mech being one of them. The pilots of Cybuddies are called Star Drivers, and they are piloted by humans forming a connection with them via a process called apprivoiser. The villains, Takuto and Sugata, the Jun Fukuyama characters, are the confirmed Star Drivers so far.
Some information on the characters:
Takuto(Mamoru Miyano): main character, narcissistic and rebellious. He is a real ladies man and has more than half of the girls in the school longing for him. Declared himself the Handsomest Boy in the Galaxy.
Wako(Saori Hayami): Takuto's best friend and the only female he isn't always trying to seduce. She is really tomboyish.
Shindou Sugata(Jun Fukuyama): second most popular kid in the school after Takuto. He is an intelligent gentleman. Wants to get into Wako's panties.
Watanabe Kanako(Ayano Niina): President of the school council. Also the leader of the Holy Order of the Glittering Stars.
Shimoonu Aragon(Ayana Taketatsu): Secretary of the school council. Member of the Holy Order of the Glittering Stars.
Nichi Keito(Ami Koshimizu): member of the school council. Member of the Holy Order of the Glittering Stars; her alias is Ivrogne. She pilots the white robot on the right side of OP's picture.
Shinada Benio(Chiemi Chiba): Member of the HOotGS, her alias is Scarlet Kiss. She pilots the pink and black robot on the right side of OP's picture.
Honda Jyooji(Shun Takagi): Member of the HOotGS, his alias is Raging Bull. He pilots the green horned robot.
Gouda Tetsuya(Ooki Sugiyama): Member of the HOotGS, his allias is Speed Kid. He pilots the samurai-looking robot.
