Zitat von Asmodina SE und auf Fans hören?! Das passiert niemals!... Schaun wir mal ... Derzeit hagelt es ordentlich Kritik da sich nun endlich mal jemand getraut hat anscheinend. Very good post and very civil.. . From the standpoint of someone who has never played a SE game or dealt with them as a company... I have played more than my fair share of MMO's and have beta tested twice that many. I was thrilled to be able to help SE bring this game from a raw shell to a polished finished product. I have to say though that I have never experienced such lack luster participation from a game company. It is just barely over non existent. In this day and age when there are so many MMO's and alternatives out there, one of the primary attributes that will help a game succeed and stand out is their community involvement. Many games that are not so great will hang on forever because they are active with their costumers. Other games that could be fabulous but maybe have ruff starts end up failing miserably because of the lack of the same. SE I implore you.. Pay attention to your customers.. We pay for you to be here after all and your game fails without us. Especially when it has to do with subjects that have so much support. As it stands right now I will likely not purchase this game simply because I think it is lacking on many areas that I feel are important.. I hope that changes. I wont echo the points others and myself have made on other threads. Just know that as of right now I wont be dragged away from my current game. I will of course keep testing and giving input in hopes that those concerns or at least some of them are addressed.. Thank you Great post XXXX. I think what you and I and most FF players feel is frustration. We love this world and these games. We see the potential from a players point of view of what this game/franchise could be. We as gamers have something valuable to offer and we feel overlooked. FF shouldnt be a "middle of the pack" franchise, it should be out front wondering where the heck all the other games are.. eat our choco dust! Frustration, yes. That sums it up for me in one word. If you are still playing FFXI after the last version update, you'll know what I mean. I feel Square-Enix are sometimes so out of touch with their playerbase (particularly EU and probably NA, I don't think they're out of touch with the Japanese at all), that we're playing different games. It's just a wall of silence with any issues we do have though. FFXI for them now is, I feel, a testing ground for FFXIV but I don't want to see the same thing happen. I want them to take part in their game and watch the trends, feel the current playerbase mood, interact with us and actually be a part of this thing they're spending time and money creating. Has to be some sense of possession and pride in there somewhere, SE? Nice post, op. Not much else to say, even if I somehow agree with extra fees for extra characters (the only reason to create a second one is using another race, you can actually be anything with only one character), 3€ seems excessive, specially if subscription is 13€ already. For the extra character fee, i think it's way to expansive, even if we can play every class with just one character. I may want to play with 2 races. This, and everything else XXXXX and the OP wrote, word for word. XI was really bad in some areas, first among them the devs' non-existent community involvement and the ludicrous character slot fee (seriously, making me pay for some database entries? which I get for free dozens of times over in competing products?). I hoped they would evolve with XIV, but so far it seems they're going backward rather than forward, which I find simply unforgivable and downright dumb. Which is a real bummer, because the game itself seems great and I was really excited about being a part of the testing community, but SE's attitude has put a stop to that. Right now It feels like they're primarily involved with their home japanese market and throwing some scraps now and then to the US/EU/Oceanic communities, and if they don't come around 180° I will not be on board at launch, no matter how cool the game might be. And yeah, I'm really frustrated. Um mal ein paar Beispiele zu nennen.
