That is partially true. The connection of notes with that technique isn't regarded at as correct/appropriate neither stylistically nor technically.
Nevertheless Baroque music does tolerate less "tight" legato than other repertoires.
In the melismi Vivica has a better legato and less intrusive H sound than say Bartoli who is the epitome of how you shouldn't sing these florid pieces because they result all staccati.

A singer with inadequate breath support couldn't begin to tackle these long phrases. I don't hear any evidence of hard glottal attacks or repeated aspiration during the melisma. She is singing on the edges of her folds - the only way a singer could achieve this kind of speed & tonal accuracy. Hard glottal attacks would involve either excessive subglottal pressure or extraneous muscular activity in the vocalis. In either instance, there is no way she'd be able to achieve this kind of sound.

Lady Gaga ist eine ernstzunehmende und talentierte Künstlerin. Nur leider kennt man hierzulande nur 3 Singles und schon wird sie in eine falsche Schublade gesteckt. Paradoxerweise wurde sie in Deutschland zunächst gar nicht beachtet, obwohl dort ihr Album fast zeitgleich mit dem Release in den USA erschien, was bei neuen US Künstlern sehr selten ist. Erst nach dem weltweiten Hype wurde sie hier bekannt.

Braungebrannt und mit Surfschein im Gepäck bin ich wieder da, zu Hause im QFRAT... neben dem Sport habe ich es beim Feiern geschafft, dass mich fast alle deutschen Touristen in unseren Umkreis dort kannten.
