Impressionen von Bebpo, die sich etwa mit den meisten Importern decken:
feel about the same as Muka at this point (ch. 35, 13 hours in).
Pros:
+Battle system is fast and very fun.
+Entire game is very, very fun.
+Generally good pacing that keeps the game always exciting (a few chapters are kind of boring fillerish)
Cons:
-Game is really ugly even for a Wii rpg, very low budget feel
-No real world to explore. 1 big town and same looking areas (tombs/castles/mainly hallways) over and over
-Story/writing so far is pretty dumb. About on par with Lost Odyssey's plot (minus the 100 year dream parts). The most annoying thing is the entire game relies on a subplot where the player knows what's going on but the main character doesn't and probably won't figure it out until the end of the game. So it's frustrating since you wonder how the main character can be so dumb.
-Battle system is a bit shallow. Comparisons to Mass Effect 2 are spot on. It's a light-rpg like ME2 is.
-No quest log. This makes keeping track of all the sidequests around the city a pain.
Middleground:
+/- music is good, but for Uematsu it's a bit weak. LO/BD osts were a lot better. Only a handful of memorable tracks so far.
+/- toooons of cutscenes. Cutscene/gameplay ratio is probably 50/50
+/- short game. Probably will be about 20 hour story and 30 hours if you do all the sidequests. Otoh, this lets the pacing be much faster than your 50 hour rpg and makes it more exciting to play.
That might sound negative, but overall the experience is fairly positive. It's not an AAA rpg like Xenoblade was, but it's a solid rpg with a lot of innovative ideas and still better than a good chunk of jrpgs this gen. I'm not sure if it's as good as BD/LO at this point, but I'll know when I finish it. Right now I'd put it around an 8/10.
