Es hat ein Betriebssystem und Programme welches genau auf dieses Steuerungsmethode ausgelegt ist. Der Archos ist nur ein Netbook ohne Tastatur.
btw. Ich sage nicht, dass das iPad uneingeschränkt besser ist, es hat die iPhone typischen Nachteile, aber man kann auch nicht die perfekt angepasste Bedienung nicht einfach unter den Teppich kehren.

Ein Beispiel:
