- Goomba's Shoe makes no return, and there are no 'special' level specific power-ups, although the mini mushroom is only used once (from the writer's memory).
- Plenty of references to past Mario titles. POW blocks useful for dropping coins, including Star Coins, to the ground.
- One disappointment is the lack of ability to take Yoshi between levels. Not all that many Yoshi levels. Those buying it for Yoshi may be disappointed.
- Boom Boom does not return. 20 boss fights in the game. System works where you fight the Koopa Kid in the halfway tower, then fight them again at the final castle with a twist.
- 2 boss fights standard per world, eight worlds...does not equal 20 boss fights. Wont give details of these four mysterious fights.
- No multiplayer exclusive secrets or unlockables.
- Different coloured Yoshis do not have different powers.
- No 'remake' levels.
- Graphics improved so much since E3 that E3 previews are totally useless and innacurate.
- Every stage offers a new and unique gameplay mechanism. World maps designed to show you what you will be playing with in each level.
- Favourite world is No.4, best moment was the final boss battle.
- Shake function a good level of sensitivity. Not so sensitive you'll accidentally do it, but at the same time you don't need to try hard to pull it off.
World 9?
