Ich rede jetzt nur von FFXI davor auch schon. MMOs wie WOW, EVE Online oder Aion benutzen immer das selbe system. Man geht auf eine bestimmte webseite, regestriet sich dort und schaltet seinen ACC frei. Man niemt über diese webseite auch die monatlichen zahlungen vor oder macht sonstige dinge betreff seinen account. FFXI ist ein spiel das sowohl auf PC alls auch auf den gängingen konsolen erschinen ist. Aber SE muss immer davon aussgehen das es mehrer FFXI spieler auf der PS2 gibt die keinen PC haben und daher nicht auf die webseite gehen können für den ACC mangement. Daher kam die lösung Playonline zum einsatz. Auf dem PC regt man sich drüber auf aber auf den konsolen ist es ein notwendiges übel.

Bei FFXIV kommt das thema nicht zum tragen da die lead platfromen PC und PS3 einen browser haben und es die webseite worüber man FFXIV regestrieren wird und den acc verwaltet schon gibt.

Trotzdem muss man für das spielen mit der 360 den POL Viewer installieren. <.<°

@Waku 10 Std.? Ich musste 8 Std. patchen...zieht der die Daten wirklich mit voller geschwindigkeit oder ist das irgendwie gedrosellt...? Kack System mit PLO imho! >_<

Und diesmal bitte Windowed Standardmäßig (hat wie lange gedauert bis das nachgereicht wurde? 5 Jahre? ) ^^

frage: ist diese neu edition nur über steam kaufbar? sind da auch wirklich die updates alle dabei oder NUR die 4 expansions (+diese 3 szenarien), ohne updates? ><

Leider letzteres...ich musste nach der Installation 8 Std. patchen. :/ Habs nach 6 Std abgebrochen und werde es nie wieder anrühren. xD

Das Problem sind die 21k an Files. Wieso zur Hölle wird das immernoch nicht in einem Package gedownloaded? 21k Files dauern auch länger wenn du sie von einer Platte auf eine andere schiebst. RAR THAT FUCKING THING FOR CHRIST SAKE.

MMO's sind bei Steam aber auch so ne sache. Bis auf EVE ONline wird da kaum ein Client aktuell gehalten. Selbst die Champions Online Demo die nur aus der Tutorial Zone besteht patched nochmal 1 Gig, WAS IMMERNCOH SCHNELLER GEHT ALS BEI FFXI DANK ORDENTLICHEM PATCHER!

TCP/UDP Port Numbers
The FINAL FANTASY XIV Alpha Version may use one of the following port numbers listed below. If you are using a router, you may have to adjust your router’s settings to allow packet transfer through these ports.

UDP 55296 – 55551
TCP 54992 – 55551
UDP 80, 443


P2P & UPnP
One of the methods used to distribute FINAL FANTASY XIV Alpha Version updates is via a peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing system. In the event of an update, the version update program will look to see if your PC’s UPnP settings are enabled. If they are, the program will automatically open a port and connect your PC with other testers’ PCs also downloading the version update, accelerating the download process.

Please Note:
- The version update program’s P2P functionality only allows for the uploading/downloading of Alpha Version updates. No other data will be transferred.
- The version update program will not work in tandem with any other third-party P2P software.
- Players using PCs or network peripherals that do not have UPnP capabilities can download the version update via the standard version update servers or directly from another tester’s PC.
- If you do not wish to allow the automatic opening of ports via UPnP, please disable UPnP in your router or OS settings. If your PC is using a global IP address or you have set up a static port on your router, you will not need to adjust your UPnP settings.
- While UPnP availability may differ depending on PC or network peripheral settings, the availability of P2P file-sharing does not. Rather, it may differ as a result of the individual policies of various Internet Service Providers.
