Zu der Synchronisationsdiskussion:
Ich finde auch, dass es zweierlei gibt, vorwiegend aber deshalb, weil man sich meist an den Umgangston und an die Stimmen und die Darstellungsart gewöhnt, die man zuerst gesehen hat. Manchmal ist aber wirklich das eine besser und das andere schlechter, aber ich finde nicht, dass man das auf entweder das Original oder die Synchronisation beschränken kann, bei beiden gibt es Expemplare mit Defiziten.
Ein Beispiel:
Grey's Anatomy ist in den ersten drei Staffeln im Grunde richtig gut synchronisiert worden, manchmal sogar richtig peppig und innovativ (was bei konventionellen Übersetzungen sehr selten ist). Spätestens in der fünften Staffel macht sich aber bemerkbar, dass da jemand keinerlei Ahnung hat (ich weiß nicht, ob sich dort dann jemand Neues rangemacht hat, oder das einfach mit dem allgemeinen Qualitätsabfall der Serie zusammenhing). Allerdings hat auch das Original in der 5ten Staffel extrem an Qualität verloren (sowohl schauspielerischer, als auch in der Handlung). Trotzdem hat die Synchronisation immer die unterirdische schauspielerische Leistung von James Prickens aufwerten können... Naja, und die Synchronstimme für Ellen Pompeo lispelt auch nich so schlimm, wie die gute Dame selbst.
Anderes Beispiel:
Matrix. Keanu Reaves ist einer der wenigen Hollywood-Schauspieler, die selbst durch grottige Synchronisation noch gewinnen (der ist ja echt kein guter Schauspieler).
Im Grunde geht durch die Synchronisation oftmals irgendwas verloren, sei es nun ein besonders pfiffiges Wortspiel ("Ich wasn't chocking ... I was just joking." - "Stop taking my picture and take my picture!"), der Charme der Sprache im Original selbst (punkto Französisch: Bei Amélie hat mans perfekt übertragen können, einige Filme, die manchmal tagsüber auf arte laufen, kann man dahingehend ganz vergessen) oder auch nur die in der Sprache verhaftete Art des Ausdrucks. Nur gewinnt jeder, der die entsprechende Sprache eben nicht spricht, dadurch sehr viel, vor allem, weil Untertitel nicht nur ganz schön nerven können, sondern auch, weil sie die Verbindung von Bild und Ton irgendwie lösen. Filme wie oben genannter "Dancer in the Dark" sind mit Untertiteln unerträglich. (wobei es auch Filme gibt, wiederum, die mit Untertiteln sehr schön zu sehen sind, einfach, weil eine Synchronisation technisch nicht machbar ist - ich wunder mich noch heute, wie man es geschafft hat, diesen und jenen Film aus Argentinien halbwegs glaubhaft zu synchronisieren)
Vor kurzem habe ich noch ein Zitat gehört, das mir extrem gut gefallen hat.
