Auch wenn wohl Scenes from a Memory ihr am besten abgemischtes Album ist, was Musik und Lyrics angeht, ist für mich trotzdem Six Degrees ihr Meisterwerk. Aber danach gings eben leider nur noch bergabwärts Mal abgesehen von In The Presence of Enemies Pt. 1 gibts bei Systematic Chaos kein Lied mehr, das mir richtig gefällt. Sie habens geschafft ansonsten bei jedem Lied irgendeinen nervigen Part einzubauen oder es einfach komplett zu versauen. Wenn ich nur an Forsaken oder Constant Motion denke...

Why Concerts?
I don't believe in going to concerts. They are a waste of money when you can just buy the singer/band's CD for a lot cheaper -- or better yet, just listen to them on the radio. Plus the concert voices aren't as good, and tis loud and noisy and crowded. Maybe you like being crammed into one spot like sardines with people next to you screaming and pushing, but I sure don't. And tisn't free either. Maybe if twas like Woodstock or something, I would go, but as long as they charge, I'm not going! I'll stick with my good ol' radio.

Das Argument ließ ich damals gelten, als ich praktisch ein Hikki war und noch nicht gelernt hatte, dass die Selbstrepräsentation des Musikers auf der Bühne einen wesentlichen Teil des Konzertes ausmacht.

Eigentlich der einzige Grund, überhaupt aufn Konzert zu gehen. Wenn die Musiker nicht abgehen, habe ich mein Geld zum Fenster hinaus geschmissen.

Das neue Album von Tim Exile (bisher schlichtweg Exile genannt) ist draußen und klingt unerwartet poppig. Der Breakcore-Gehalt der Stücke wurde fast vollständig zurückgeschraubt und macht einem smoothen Electronica-Sound Platz, der mit Dave Gahan-artiger Stimme komplettiert wird. Ich hype es gerade total.

REUNITES FOR NEW STUDIO ALBUM.
POSSIBLE LATE 2009 RELEASE PLANNED.


TRANSATLANTIC, the progressive rock "supergroup" comprised of Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Pete Trewavas (Marillion), Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings) and Neal Morse (ex-Spock's Beard), have reunited after a 7 year hiatus to begin work on a brand new studio album.

The band began work on the album in early April in Nashville and are expected to have it released by year's end if all goes as planned.

TRANSATLANTIC have previously released two studio albums to tremendous critical and fan acclaim: 2000's SMPTe and 2001's Bridge Across Forever. The band toured on the heels of each release with an American Tour in 2000 and a European Tour in 2001 and released subsequent Live DVD's/CD's from both tours before going their separate ways for an indefinite hiatus which lasted almost the entire decade.
