[PSP] Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (Remake)

Square Enix announced in this week's issue of Famitsu magazine that Tactics Ogre, one of the most well-known strategy RPGs of the 16-bit generation, is receiving a full remake on the PSP.
The remake, officially titled Tactics Ogre: The Wheel of Fortune in Japanese, is interesting because it's being spearheaded by largely the same people that were behind the original Tactics Ogre, launched on the Super Famicom in 1995 and later released on the PlayStation in America. Key staff includes director Hiroshi Minagawa, game designer Yasumi Matsuno, character designers Akihiko Yoshida and Tsubasa Masao, and music composers Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata.
In the Famitsu piece, Matsuno emphasized that The Wheel of Fortune isn't a remake so much as it is a "rebuilding" of the title from the ground up. The graphics are being fully upgraded, and while they retain the "16-bit" flavor of the original, you'll be able to change the viewing angle and even watch the battlefield from a straight overhead perspective. A variety of new features are promised on both the gameplay and battle-system fronts, although the basic turn-based system that emphasizes terrain advantages will remain in effect. Players can also expect a variety of new skills and classes for your army, and up to 30 units can be pitted against other in a single map, as opposed to 20 in the original.
Matsuno didn't go into details on what the titular "wheel of fortune" is all about, but hinted that taking advantage of that new gameplay element can help gamers get a break from the notoriously high difficulty level of the original, should they want it.
No release date was announced by Square Enix.

The battle maps character count has increased from the 10 vs 10 of the original to 12 on your side vs 18 on the enemy side, for a total of 30 characters on screen.
This is not a "Tactics Ogre Perfect Version," but a "rebuilding" of Tactics Ogre. It doesn't fit within the framework of a "remake."
You won't be able to use your strategies from the original for the sequel remake.

Geil! Darauf habe ich lange gewartet. Nachdem SE Quest übernommen hat und dadurch auch die Rechte an der Ogre-Reihe besass, hatte ich damals gehofft, dass ehemaligen Leute nach FF12 die Reihe fortsetzen. Hätte jetzt zwar mehr auf ein neuen Titel gefreut, aber ein Remake zu TO ist auch nicht schlecht, zumal viele Entwickler der Reihe mit an Board sind.
TO gehört zu meinen All Time Favorites was SRPGs angeht (da kann selbst FFT nicht ganz herankommen), und dass Y. Matsuno direkt mitwirkt lässt mich positiv hoffen. Überhaupt habe mir seine Spiele immer gefallen; OB (fand es damals auf dem SNES genial, hab afair alle Endings gesehen), TO (All Time Favorite), FFT (nicht ganz All Time Favorite, aber trotzdem genial), VS (All Time Favorite) und FF12 (auf meiner ewigen FF-Love-Liste auf Platz 2).
Nach dem Remake bitte noch ein neues Ogre Battle ankündigen, auch ein Remake oder Rebuilding wäre mir recht.
