Radiohead bleibt unbestreitbar der Favorit in der Gruppe A. Auch gegen Dimmu können sie sich klar durchsetzen und bleiben dank des 12:3 Erfolgs mit Sicherheit an der Spitze.
Gruppe Album A: Patrick Wolf - "The Magic Position" vs. Editors - "An End Has A Start"
Wie Dimmu Borgir kann auch Patrick Wolf im zweiten Duell nichts reißen. Die in der letzten Runde spielfreien Editors setzen mit ihrem 7:2 einen Sieg, der sie vielleicht in die nächste Runde bringen wird.
Gruppe Album B: Maxïmo Park - "Our Earthly Pleasures" vs. Polarkreis 18 - "Polarkreis 18"
Maxïmo Park bleiben an der Front in Gruppe B, denn auch Polarkreis 18 kann den Briten nicht gefährlich werden. Man wird auf die Spiele gegen 65dos und Daft Punk warten müssen, hier endet die Fahrt mit einem 10:1 für Maxïmo Park.
Gruppe Album B: The White Stripes - "Icky Thump" vs. 65daysofstatic - "The Destruction Of Small Ideas"
Wie schon die Editors zuvor startet die letztmalig spielfreie Band mit einem guten Sieg. 65dos kann den White Stripes die zweite Niederlage zufügen und startet mit 8:5 in die Gruppenphase.
Gruppe Album C: Interpol - "Our Love To Admire" vs. Nightwish - "Dark Passion Play"
Nach Japan gewinnt Interpol nun auch gegen Finnland. In der Internationalen Gruppe bleiben sie damit an der Spitze, da die ebenfalls in der letzten Woche siegreichen Helden spielfrei hatten. Interpil gewinnt mit 9:5.
Gruppe Album C: the GazettE - "STACKED RUBBISH" vs. Fall Out Boy - "Infinity on High"
Ein wenig schade dürfte die zweite Niederlage von the GazettE nun tatsächlich sein, aber vielleicht hat ja der geringe Bekanntheitsgrad dazu beigetragen. Auch Fall Out Boy startet mit einem Sieg, the GazettE verlieren mit 3:6.
Gruppe Album D: Modest Mouse - "We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank" vs. Maximum the Hormone - "Buiikikaesu"
Für Modest Mouse gibts im zweiten Duell den zweiten Pflichtsieg. Einzig die Foo Fighters können die perfekte Runde wohl noch schmälern, gegen Maximum the Hormone setzt es einen klaren 9:1 Sieg.
Gruppe Album D: Enter Shikari - "Take to the Skies" vs. she - "days"
Und die zu Beginn vielleicht als Geheimtipp angesehenen Enter Shikari können schon fast alle Hoffnungen auf das Weiterkommen begraben, denn sie verlieren mit 2:5 gegen she - womit in der vierten Gruppe die vierte spielfreie Band mit einem Sieg startet.
Gruppe Album E: Nine Inch Nails - "Year Zero" vs. Kate Nash - "Made Of Bricks"
Houston, wir haben ein Unentschieden. Kate Nash ringt Trent Reznor ein 7:7 ab und macht damit die Gruppe noch offener, als es alle anderen noch sind. Das Unentschieden bringt Beide kaum weiter, aber öffnet allen anderen Band noch viele Chancen auf die nächste Runde.
Gruppe Album E: Timbaland - "Timbaland Presents: Shock Value" vs. Subway To Sally - "Bastard"
Doch anstatt, dass nun Timbaland oder die spiellosen Subway To Sally sich rehabilitieren oder an der Spitze festigen können, gibt es auch hier ein Unentschieden. 5:5 ergibt eine merkwürdige Gruppe.
Gruppe Album F: Arcade Fire - "Neon Bible" vs. Dream Theater - "Systematic Chaos"
Ja, auch Arcade Fire machen das, was alle erwarten: Einen klare Sieg. Dream Theater gehen mit 3:11 unter und verabschieden sich nach der zweiten Niederlage schon fast.
Gruppe Album F: Klaxons - "Myths of the Near Future" vs. Die Ärzte - "Jazz ist Anders"
Die Klaxons machen es nach der anfänglichen Niederlage nun besser und fügen den startenden Ärzten eine schmerzhafte Niederlage bei. Mit 8:6 entheben Klaxons die Berliner von ihrem Favoriten-Status.

Auch hier tut sich absolut nichts. Scheint so, als wäre schon längst entschieden, wer ums Weiterkommen mitspielt und wer nicht. Für Maxïmo Park scheint es eine sichere Sache zu sein, Daft Punk und 65daysofstatic machen spätestens am letzten Spieltag das Weiterkommen unter sich aus.

Die zuerst spielfreien Editors schieben sich Runde für Runde weiter hoch. Gegen Dimmu gibts ein klares 7:3!

Klarer als erwartet, feiern Maxïmo Park den dritten Sieg in Folge. Die nächste Runde wird ihnen wohl nicht mehr zu nehmen sein, nach diesem 8:3.
Gruppe Album B: Polarkreis 18 - "Polarkreis 18" vs. 65daysofstatic - "The Destruction Of Small Ideas"
Im Zahlenduell zwischen P18 und 65dos gibts am Ende eine große 0 für die 18 und eine starke 10 für die 65'er.
Gruppe Album C: Interpol - "Our Love To Admire" vs. Wir Sind Helden - "Soundso"
Das kurze Aufbäumen der Helden reicht nicht, um Interpol gefährlich zu werden. Sie verlieren mit 4:8.
Gruppe Album C: Nightwish - "Dark Passion Play" vs. Fall Out Boy - "Infinity on High"
Auch gegen Fall Out Boy können Nightwish nichts holen. Fehlt Tarja? Keine Ahnung, aber 2:7 ist doch ziemlich deutlich.
Gruppe Album D: Modest Mouse - "We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank" vs. Foo Fighters - "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace"
Fooootastisch. Oder auch nicht, denn die mausige Dominanz setzt sich nicht nur in Comics, sondern auch hier fort. 2:9 verliert Grohlmaster Dave.
Gruppe Album D: Maximum the Hormone - "Buiikikaesu" vs. she - "days"
Eine grandiose Beteiligung schließt she mit dem zweiten Sieg und der nächsten Nullrunde ab. Maximum The Hormone schafft ein 0:5, fast so schon wie Polarkreis.
Gruppe Album E: Nine Inch Nails - "Year Zero" vs. Subway To Sally - "Bastard"
Während Kate Nash spielfrei hat, setzt sich NIN deutlich ab, dank des 10:1 Sieges über die Brandenburger.
Gruppe Album E: Timbaland - "Timbaland Presents: Shock Value" vs. Paradise Lost - "In Requiem"
Dafür schafft Außenseiter Timbaland seine nächsten Punkte, nachdem er schon zuvor ein Draw holte. 5:2 ist nicht beeindruckend, aber immerhin ein Sieg.
Gruppe Album F: Arcade Fire - "Neon Bible" vs. Serj Tankian - "Elect The Dead"
Auch in Gruppe F gibt es Dominanz, wie wir sie schon aus den Song-Runden kennen. Arcade Fire besiegen Serj mit 8:5.
Gruppe Album F: Dream Theater - "Systematic Chaos" vs. Die Ärzte - "Jazz ist Anders"
Und nicht wirklich knapp wurde es nochmal im Duell zwischen DT und DÄ. Die Berliner machen die Niederlage im Song-Duell wieder gut und gewinnen mit 6:3.
