Archiv verlassen und diese Seite im Standarddesign anzeigen : Move event
hello again :)
i made an event so that when my charter talk's to a person. he get's teleported outside the map and event XX goes on. then event XX is going to move a boat event with the "move event" command. but when i to that. the boat is stuck at it's place and wont move.. why?
Err... maybe the ground on which the boat has to drive on isn´t declared as passable by the boat, go into the database, give the ground a water id and make it passable by boat in the terrain menu

the boat is just an normal event with a boat added as "event grafic" so it should move normaly with "move" event command shouldent it?
sorry, i can´t speak good english, maybe its horrible what i say ;)
try it with "start slip through" in the move event before the boat drives and when the boat is on the right position, make "end slip through"
it´s an easy method ^_^

thanks :D where can i just find that slip through ? havent used it before so i dont know where it is :/
its in the "move event" command
there you can choose buttons, e.g. "Step right", "Step Left" etc.
theres a button "Start Slip Through" and "End Slip Through", too.
make this before and after the moves

So, I tried it too, and it worked. Perhaps there are some Parallel-Process events blocking the other Event.
Btw I don't even know a command called "Phase on" ^^°.
That's what I did:
Start Slip Through

Rest of the "Move Event"

Move all

And finish (it works! (no matter what ID the ground has...)

Don't know what you did wrong. Just controll it again ^^

P.S.
Das mit den großen Bildern tut mir leid. Habs erst jetzt gemerkt
Do you have this "Move Event" in a Parallel Process Event?
If yes then put a "Move All" behind it and perhaps it will work.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't asked which you were using ^^°
I'm using the 2000 so I'm not surprised that there are differents between your Maker and my screens.
Sorry but in this case I cant help you
Yust wait. There will be someone in here who's using the 2003 too so he can answer your question ;)
hmm...
i think the move event command in rpg maker 2003 is the same which is in the rpg maker 2000
maybe you could show us a screen from your rpg maker (move event command) ?

What does it look like if you use that "Phasing on"?
I can't see any other button which would match to what you need...
(Sorry for bad English  )

if i use phasing, it goes slowmo and leaves a shadow behin dit like it's getting streched out. then on the next move to any direction it's doing the same.

BTW i just found out someting.. if i place the boat event on DRY land it works.. but as soon as i put it in the water.. it's stuck and cant move :/
then it should be because you have in the database something wrong (i´m sorry i know i´m bad in englisch.. :( )
go to the database and click on "chipsets", there choose the chipsets at that the boat will drive and choose at every "field" the O, X or * (star)
at water you make an O
then try it again

No, I don't think that's right. Sure it will work but if you do that the Hero can move on the water too...
There must be a button for it. I can't imagine they took it away in the new Maker because it is very important. Perhaps you should look somewhere else. Could be that there is another Command doing the same as "Slip through"...

near the islands could events which are on "Same Level as Hero"
i think its not the fastest/best method, but so perhaps it´ll work
@ Rizzler:
maybe install your maker new or load an other maker
perhaps you have coosed a bug-version (was ich sagen will, dass das eine blöde/verbugte version vom rm2k3 is)
ok ;) can someone post a link to their maker? that they KNOW have the "slip" command and i will try that :)

It's illegal to post links to the maker here, so you will have to use Google.
