Ich scheitere daran, ein DVD-Image auf eine DVD zu brennen. Ich hab's mit Nero Burning Rom 8 Essentials versucht, das vorinstalliert ist. Doppelklick auf die ISO-Datei öffnet den Dialog von Nero. Da kann man dann nicht mehr viel einstellen. Ein Häckchen bei "Brennen", eines bei "Disk finalisieren", Schreibgeschwindigkeit 4x (5.540 KB/s), Schreibmethode Disc-at-Once (grau, nicht veränderbar). Wenn ich auf "Brennen" klicke, kommt schon nach 6 Sekunden eine Fehlermeldung die besagt "Kann TOC nicht wiederherstellen". Hier das log-file, falls jemand damit was anfangen kann:

Hast du mal ein anderes Brennprogramm probiert? Um einfach nur Isos zu brennen, ist ImgBurn (http://www.imgburn.com/) eigentlich perfekt.

Und noch eine Frage: tritt das nur bei einem bestimmten Image auf oder bei allen? Ich bin mir nicht zu 100% sicher, aber das Problem könnte auch ein defektes Image sein.

Ich denke nicht, dass das mit dem Laufwerk zu tun hat.
Er findet den TOC (Table of Contents) in der Imagedatei nicht. Das bedeutet für mich, dass das Image beschädigt ist.
Funktioniert das Image mit einem virtuellen Laufwerk?

ImgBurn habe ich probiert, da bekomme ich auch eine Fehlermeldung (siehe Bild 1 in meinem Beitrag oben).

Vor einem Monat habe ich noch ein CD-Image auf CD gebrannt (Knoppix), das hat im Grunde geklappt, abgesehen von der Tatsache, dass ich es nicht hinbekommen habe, von der CD zu booten.

Image-Datei scheint in Ordnung zu sein, zumindest kann ich sie auf einem virtuellen Laufwerk problemlos mounten und öffnen.

Es handelt sich um ein DVD-Image von Windows 7 Professional. Ich wollte eigentlich von Vista auf 7 upgraden. Vielleicht geht das auch ohne physikalische DVD, einfach über das virtuelle Laufwerk, keine Ahnung. Aber wenn dann doch mal irgendwas kaputt geht, dann wäre es nicht schlecht, wenn man eine physikalische DVD in Reserve hätte, um notfalls darüber booten zu können.



Hab's gerade nochmal probiert. Da steht auch noch was von "Fehler beim Verfolgen der Spur":

Laut Google ein physikalisches Problem. Schlechte Rohlinge oder Staub auf der Linse, behaupten die Suchergebnisse. Kann das jemand bestätigen?

Kann durchaus vorkommen, dass bestimmte Rohlinge mit bestimmten Laufwerken nicht kompatibel sind. Gerade billige Rohlinge machen da oft Probleme.

Du kannst auch auch das Image auf ein USB Stick packen, wenn du ein 4 GB (oder größer) USB Stick besitzt. Musst mal unter google nach Anleitungen suchen. Da solltest du schnell fündig werden.
