Ronnie James Dio hat seinen Kampf gegen den Krebs verloren. Der als Sänger von "Black Sabbath", "Heaven&Hell" und "Dio" verstarb heute früh um 07:45 Ortszeit. Dio gehörte zu den prägendsten Köpfen des Metal.

Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever.

Schade, echt verdammt schade.

Seine Phase bei Black Sabbath hat einige unheimlich gute Songs hervorgebracht, mit Dio war er eh eine Ikone und mit Heaven And Hell hatten er und das alte Lineup von Black Sabbath schon quasi die Wiedergeburt des "alten" Heavy Metals eingeläutet.

Sehr schade um einen der besten Sänger im Metal-Bereich.

was soll man sagen: shit happens. ich fand seinen auftritt bei pick of destiny cool. und die zwei-drei songs die ich von ihm kenne. eigentlich kanns mir egal sein, aber trotzdem schade.
