Also wirklich. Wer auf modernen Rock mit Johnny-Cash-Einfluss steht, kommt hier dran wohl nicht vorbei. Jeder Song ist einfach nur der Hammer, verdammt melodiös, der Sänger hat 'ne richtig gute Stimme und die Musik kann mal ganz ruhig, aber auch mal schön deftig sein. Unglaubliches Album, einfach nur "WOW!" (nein nicht World of Warcraft>:( ) ;)

Besonders "Wine Red" oder der auf dem Snakes on a Plane befindliche Tommie Sunshine's Brooklyn Fire Retouch sind dank ihrer Piano/Gitarren-Bridge so genial. Tolle Band, ich liebe Kombinationen aus weiblicher und männlicher Stimme in Songs. Klasse, klasse!

:A Sehr tolles Album, find' aber leider nur die Hälfte der Songs gut. Die andere Hälfte ist imo so Durchschintts-Rock, wie man ihn schon tausend Mal gehört hat.

Picastro - Whore Luck
Diese Band ist genial. Allein für das Lied All Erase muss man sie eigentlich schon lieben.
Jeder, der einen http://www.lastfm.de/ Account hat, sollte mal in ihr erstes Album Red Your Blues (http://www.lastfm.de/music/Picastro/Red+Your+Blues) reinhören. Ist meiner Meinung nach lang nicht so gut wie Whore Luck, aber Lieder wie Fifth Wall (http://www.lastfm.de/music/Picastro/_/Fifth+Wall) und The Sea Will Kill You (http://www.lastfm.de/music/Picastro/_/The+Sea+Will+Kill+You) wissen auch zu beeindrucken.

Wie ich grade gesehen habe, ist es auch möglich das komplette Whore Luck (http://www.lastfm.de/music/Picastro/Whore+Luck) anzuhören, allerdings nur mit "(CD)" infizierten Tags. Aber besser als nichts. All Erase, Friend of Mine, Albanis und Older Lover anhören! Besonders du, Serpico :O

Bevorzugt "Mais où?", "Rester Soi-Même" und "On N'a Qu'une Terre".
Tolle Songs und ich versteh sogar einen Grossteil. Die knapp 7 Jahre Französisch haben sich also doch gelohnt.

Naja und natürlich auch noch einige von den Liedern, die sonst noch so auf meinem PC oder in meinem CD-Regal rumschwirren.

Circa Survive - Juturna
Es ist mit Abstand sehr viel schwerer in dieses Album hineinzukommen, als in den Nachfolger. Aber es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Ich liebe diese Band inzwischen und ich danke den Leuten, die mich auf sie gebracht haben.
Btw. dieses Album hat eines meiner absoluten lieblings Albumcover. Keine Ahnung wieso, aber ich könnte es irgendwie die ganze Zeit anschauen.

Echt tolles Album. Ich kann das irgendwie nicht so richtig einer Richtung zuordnen, würde sagen, so in Richtung Indie, Folk und noch irgendwas anderes. Auf jeden Fall gefällt mir der Stil sehr, finde, es klingt schön klar ohne viel Effektgedöns (abgesehen von ein paar Liedern). Der Gesang ist ja mal ganz schräg, irgendwie besoffen und lispelnd, passt aber auch imo.

Wieso kannte ich diese Band noch nicht? Das ist genau die Art von Musik, nach der ich so verdammt lange Zeit gesucht habe. Überaus schöne Melodien, aber kein Post Rock. Oder wie man auch sehr oft lesen kann, eine Mischung aus Porcupine Tree und Radiohead.
