Kate Nash begräbt nach K.I.Z. auch die Träume der Ärzte und setzt sich hinter Arcade Fire fest 11:1 - schöne Beteiligung!

Gruppe Song B: Klaxons - "Gravity's Rainbow" vs. Paradise Lost - "The Enemy"

In Gruppe B brauchen die Klaxons nicht nur Punkte, sondern auch Schützenhilfe von Subway To Sally. Sie selbst machen ihre Sache gut und fegen Paradise Lost mit 10:3 vom Platz!

Gruppe Song B: Subway To Sally - "Meine Seele brennt" vs. Beirut - "Nantes"

Und fast, aber auch nur fast, hätte es hier die Überraschung gegeben, doch am Ende verlieren die Brandenburger mit 5:7 das Duell und ebnen Beirut somit den Weg in die Finalrunde.

Gruppe Song B: Interpol - "Pioneers To The Falls" vs. Patrick Wolf - "Get Lost"

Das letzte, belanglose Duell, wo Patrick Wolf nochmal groß hätte auftrumpfen können, aber zwei Stimmen der Geburtstagszwillinge reichen eben nicht aus. 7:2.

Gruppe Song C: Korpiklaani - "Let's Drink" vs. Freezepop - "Less Talk More Rokk"

In dieser Gruppe ist schon alles entschieden, es geht nur noch darum, wer welchen Platz einnimmt. Freezepop an Position 1 vor Radiohead? That would be amäising! Mit 8:1 sieht es auch nicht einmal schlecht aus.

Gruppe Song C: The Hoosiers - "Worried About Ray" vs. Sportfreunde Stiller - "(Tu nur das) Was dein Herz dir sagt"

Die beiden kurzzeitigen Aufstiegsaspiranten trennen sich im beteiligungsärmsten Duell mit 3:3. 'nuff said!

Gruppe Song C: Radiohead - "Videotape" vs. Dream Theater - "Constant Motion“

Radiohead kämpfen um den ersten Platz, aber man kann jetzt schon sagen, dass der 9:4-Pflichtsieg die Gruppenführung wohl nicht einbringt.

Gruppe Song D: Modest Mouse - "Dashboard" vs. The National - "Fake Empire"

Vor Beginn des Spieltages standen The National noch auf Platz 2 - doch die knallharte 2:10 Niederlage könnte und wird dies nun ändern. Stars und Circa Survive lauern auf Position 4 und 3 und selbst ein Draw schiebt Circa an The National vorbei. Das wars also!

Gruppe Song D: Interpol - "Pace Is The Trick" vs. Samsas Traum - "Heiliges Herz (Monozelle Remix)"

Der zweite Interpol-Song fährt noch ein paar Punkte ein, sonst gibts aber nichts zu vermelden. 7:3!

Gruppe Song D: Circa Survive - "In the Morning and Amazing..." vs. Stars - "My Favourite Book“

Circa Survive gegen Stars. Platz 3 gegen Platz 4 - und was für ein Kantersieg für Stars. Mit 7:0 setzen sie sich lupenrein gegen Circa Survive durch und schieben sich somit auf den letzten Aufstiegsplatz!

Wenn mir vor dem Ganzen hier Jemand gesagt hätte, das Freezepop eine Gruppe anführen, hätte ich laut gelacht und den User auf die Ignoreliste gestellt. Aber sie haben es gepackt und bekommen somit den vermeintlich leichteren Gegner aus Gruppe D zugesteckt. Freezepop gegen Modest Mouse wäre auch ein nervenzerreißendes Duell für mich.
